Our therapeutic approach to recovery
At Yaya Yoga Therapy in Surrey, British Columbia, we guide people navigating addiction recovery back to themselves. Through intentional yoga, conscious breathwork, and grounded physical fitness, we provide compassionate support to help you heal, release emotional pain, and rebuild strength from within.

Transforming emotion through breath and mindful movement
Breathwork is a tangible, reliable tool you can use at any moment to regulate your nervous system. In untreated addiction and alcoholism, the deepest struggle often revolves around overwhelming feelings and emotions, leading us to numb out. Yoga, movement, and breathwork are daily actions we practice to retrain the mind and body. Emotions are simply energy in motion; by honouring what arises—whether it is anxiety or anger—we learn to move and transform that feeling into vital life energy rather than running or numbing from it.

A safe, gentle space created for beginners
Having walked through the darkest places myself, I promise never to take you anywhere you do not feel comfortable going. Every therapeutic session begins with listening: taking the time to understand your personal story, boundaries, and individual needs before we begin. All movement is intentionally designed to be accessible for beginners, ensuring you feel completely secure, respected, and supported every step of the journey.

Rediscover strength, self-love, and your inner power
Our greatest hope is that you come to truly know and love yourself through somatic movement. As you cultivate physical resilience, you will develop grounded self-confidence and discover that everything you ever needed to be has been inside you all along. When you are ready to take that first step, please send an email to info@yayayogatherapy.ca to schedule a free discovery call or book your private session.
